Visitors to the newly renovated Elfin Cove Resort will have the vacation of a lifetime enjoying all of the breathtaking views, unparalleled sport fishing, and wilderness exploration this unique Alaskan retreat has to offer. A long-time favorite of the most avid sporting and adventuresome travelers, Elfin Cove Resort’s extreme makeover and expansion of its guest quarters, docks, fishing boats, equipment and more make this an unforgettable experience for first-timers and loyal annual guests alike.

Situated on the Southeast Alaskan Coast, a short float plane ride from Juneau, the resort features amenities that suit the needs of the individual traveler or large groups. The resort can accommodate 32 guests at a time in one of our four unique buildings which include the main lodge with 5 guest rooms, the chalet with 2 guest rooms, and the much sought after beach house with 3 guest rooms. The final building is previously known as Fishmasters Inn. Now under new ownership the rustic facility is beautifully renovated and features 6 guest rooms, its own kitchen and dining area, family room and wrap-around decks. Each guest room offers private baths and incredible views of the mountains and Glacier Bay can be seen almost everywhere in the resort.

Once settled into their comfortable accommodations, visitors can take advantage of the best sport fishing in Alaska. All inclusive packages offer professionally guided fishing tours that are designed to ensure that all anglers take home a fresh catch of Alaska’s diverse and abundant fish. Some of the best fisheries in Alaska are located a short boat ride from Elfin Cove and the resort’s spacious and fast boats are designed to get lines in the water and fish in the boat for the most productive fishing trip possible.

A fisherman’s paradise, the area offers huge Pacific halibut ranging from 20 to over 300 pound monsters year-round; beautiful King Salmon from 20 to over 60 pounds available year-round with optimal fishing conditions from early May to late June; and acrobatic Coho Salmon in great abundance from late June through September averaging 8 to 12 pounds. Other salmon caught in the area include Chum (dogs), Pink (humpies) and Reds (sockeye.) Rounding out Elfin Cove’s selection of sport fishing is a colorful collection of Rockfish, Irish Lords, Red Snapper, Yelloweye, Black Sea Bass, and Lingcod. For the hardcore adventurer, we offer Salmon Shark fishing in late summer.

If fishing isn’t a visitor’s passion there are plenty of other activities to enjoy. Elfin Cove boasts incredible sightseeing, hiking and other wilderness adventures. A short boat ride will have guests bathing at White Sulfur Springs, flying through treetops on zip lines, or hiking on an island in search of an old military outpost. Kayakers can explore the beautiful ocean beaches and experience an up-close and awe-inspiring look at Brady Glacier.

All-inclusive packages range from a 3-day, 2-night Quick Trip, to the resort’s most popular 6-day, 5-night package that includes four full days of fishing. Packages include full service dining in the main lodge, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, professional guides, tackle and gear, and up to 2 boxes of fish processing.
