There’s no such thing as an ordinary Alaska vacation, but a stay at Elfin Cove Resort is undoubtedly extraordinary. For decades tourists and outdoor enthusiasts have flocked to Elfin Cove to be surrounded by picturesque Alaskan wilderness and scenic mountain landscapes. Whether you plan on fishing in Alaska, hiking the trails, or taking photos, Elfin Cove Resort is your base camp for an Alaskan adventure.
Ideally located across from Glacier Bay National Park, we can escort our visitors into this natural treasure for wildlife viewing, glacial tours, or nature photography. With an abundant population of birds and mammals to choose from, you might end up going to Glacier Bay multiple times during your stay. We highly recommend an up-close view of Brady Glacier. Other famous Alaska vacation glaciers include John Hopkins, Lamplugh, Reid, and Carroll Glacier.
Another excellent option is the 17 million-acre Tongass National Forest. The world’s largest remaining temperate rainforest and the largest national forest in the United States, Tongass is a habitat for various endangered plant and animal species, known by the U.S. Forest Service as the “crown jewel.” Like Glacier Bay, Tongass National Park offers a myriad of recreational activities, like hiking on and kayaking around islands, hunting for Sitka blacktail deer, or relaxing in natural hot springs overlooking the Gulf of Alaska.
